With the start of the new year NVIDIA has presented its top-range solution, GeForce GTX 295: thanks to the union of two video cards within a single product, the Californian company has managed to regain the top of the hail podium performance, solutions dual-GPU Radeon HD 4870X2.
One of the problems associated with using two cards as a single solution is the cooling system: that is why NVIDIA has developed a proprietary heat sink, capable of maintaining constant temperature, which also had an assist dimension frequency clock. ZOTAC and EVGA, two of the main partners of NVIDIA would be ready to enter the market in a GeForce GTX 295 with liquid cooling.
At the time, the frequencies of operation which is distributed with the GTX 295 are 576MHz for the GPU, 1242 for the stream processors and 999MHz for the memories. Intuitively, the versions with liquid cooling, more efficient than standard, will provide more frequencies of operation, resulting in increased performance. The solutions will be presented at the upcoming Cebit in Hanover, scheduled for March 3.
