One of the problems associated with using two cards as a single solution is the cooling system: that is why NVIDIA has developed a proprietary heat sink, capable of maintaining constant temperature, which also had an assist dimension frequency clock. ZOTAC and EVGA, two of the main partners of NVIDIA would be ready to enter the market in a GeForce GTX 295 with liquid cooling.

At the time, the frequencies of operation which is distributed with the GTX 295 are 576MHz for the GPU, 1242 for the stream processors and 999MHz for the memories. Intuitively, the versions with liquid cooling, more efficient than standard, will provide more frequencies of operation, resulting in increased performance. The solutions will be presented at the upcoming Cebit in Hanover, scheduled for March 3.

The Taiwanese Sparkle has announced the availability of two new versions of video cards top of the range, based on NVIDIA GPU family G80: talk about solutions based on GeForce 8800 GTX and GeForce 8800 Ultra, with clock frequencies higher than those indicated by NVIDIA specifications for cards of this type.

This Scheda Sparkle P889 + is based on GeForce 8800 GTX, with clock frequency of 630 MHz for the GPU and 1960 MHz memory for video, against default values equal to 575 MHz and 1800 MHz, the stream processors have often increased clock to 1512 MHz from 1350 MHz by default.

For Sparkle P889 Ultra card based on GeForce 8800 Ultra, we find clock frequency of 650 MHz for the GPU and 2250 MHz memory for video, against default values equal to 612 MHz and 2160 MHz, the stream processors have frequently Clock of 1674 MHz in this card, against a default value equal to 1,500 MHz.

The cooling system adopted for these cards is marked with the initials CST, Cooling System Technology, already seen in previous video cards Sparkle Caliber series. TEC mounted on a GPU ensures the transfer of heat from the chip video to a massive radiator, mounted to cover almost the entire PCB card; the two fans finally ensure a move from the hot radiator to the outside.
